The ASA World Initiative for Soy in Human Health program participated in a panel discussion at this year’s Soy Leadership Academy. The panel, the Soy Leader Panel, discussed ways to position U.S. soy to consumers and strengthen the industry throughout the year. Executive committee member Scott Gaffner represented WISHH on the program.

Gaffner highlighted trends that are leading WISHH’s work throughout 2025, including how developing economies are growing economies, the rise of aquaculture in foreign markets, and growing populations drive demand for protein. In addition, Gaffner mentioned that 2025 marked WISHH’s 25th anniversary. He discussed plans to celebrate a quarter century of impact and looked forward to how WISHH is building the next generation of customers for U.S. soy.

The Soy Leadership Academy enhances collaboration between state affiliate and national soybean organizations while providing a stronger voice for U.S. soy and agriculture.
