ASA/WISHH’s Africa team participated in the U.S. Soy Global Trade Exchange & Specialty Grains Conference (GTE) in St. Louis on August 24-26. The GTE was an excellent opportunity for WISHH’s Senegal-based partner, NMA Sanders, to meet with suppliers of U.S. feed ingredients.
USSEC — in collaboration with the Specialty Soya and Grains Alliance — hosted global customers and soybean industry representatives from 66 countries for the first hybrid U.S. Soy Global Trade Exchange & Specialty Grains Conference.
NMA Sanders Deputy General Manager Abdou Diakhoumpa also participated in the Trade Team Invitational (TTI). During the TTI, he met with four U.S. suppliers. Diakhoumpa was eager to identify a supplier as his company has a strong demand for corn and soybeans for the poultry and livestock feeds they are producing.
NMA Sanders is primarily interested in combined vessel shipments of soybean meal and corn totaling approximately 25,000 MT every 2-3 months. The WISHH team is currently providing NMA Sanders with technical assistance to help them grow their business and meet the demand for high quality feed. WISHH is investing USDA Agricultural Trade Promotion Program (ATP) funds to facilitate the development of West Africa’s feed industry through strategic partnerships with industry leading companies such as NMA Sanders.
