WISHH and USSEC Speak to State Dept-supported Leadership Participants

WISHH Executive Director Liz Hare and USSEC representatives, Paul Burke, Roz Leeck and Ryan Olson, spoke to a virtual gathering of the U.S. Agricultural Trade and Food Safety International Visitor Leadership Program on May 7. With U.S. State Department support, the World Affairs Council of St. Louis organized the dialogue as part of the program for global participants.

The International Visitor Leadership Program is the State Department’s premier professional exchange program through which current and emerging foreign leaders cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts. Professional meetings reflect the participants’ professional interests and support the foreign policy goals of the United States.

WISHH and USSEC representatives spoke to the group about U.S. soy’s role in agricultural trade, food safety and sustainable agriculture. Participants from 20 countries participated in the virtual event.
