Overview
One of the goals of the development program of WISHH is to improve the economic
security and income opportunities for poor people through the use of soy by supporting
economically viable money making activities that can supplement family income.
The aim of the program is to support the activities that lead to the development
of an economically sustainable region. This program will focus on the micro level
entrepreneurship as well as community level support.
Researchers are continuously developing new technologies to develop soy products.
Along with these there is also an upsurge of the commercially available soy foods
due to the numerous health benefits associated with the use of soy. Support will
be needed to provide technical and /or business development services to new and
fledgling small business units.
